CLASS IV A – ASSEMBLY – THEME – EARTH DAY
With a view to mark the celebrations of Earth Day, 2017, the students of class IV-A of DPS Vasant Vihar, under the guidance of their class teacher Mrs. Meeta Arora, undertook to learn and convey the importance of Earth Day to the audience. All students sang the Earth Day song to underline the fact that the life exists only on earth amongst known planets and it has abundant resources to nurture life for centuries together, if we respect the nature and do not hasten to destroy the ecosystem that exists on this planet. Students also took it upon themselves to take precautions right now to save resources, plant more trees, save water, prevent climate change and avoid any drastic situation, which could bring down curtains on the colourful canvas of life on earth.
All students got intensely involved in the assembly activity and narrated various facts about Earth Day as speakers, which was followed by dances in the background of songs highlighting the importance of mother Earth.
Respected Headmistress, Mrs. Archana Pental Ma’am addressed the august gathering and led the audience take a pledge on Earth Day to create consciousness and sense of commitment amongst them.
All the present parents of the students also joined and took pledge administered by the Headmistress in the presence of all the teachers including 15 visiting teachers of DPS School’s family.
